Sunday Services

Welcome

Welcome to MOBC's online Sunday service. Along with congregations all over the world our Sunday gatherings have been temporarily suspended. In their place we have created this page where you will find a simple liturgy which you can use each week in worship of God.

Simply follow the order of service, clicking on the video links as appropriate.

Welcome & Notices — 31st May

Worship

For hundreds of years Christians have used music and singing to praise and worship God. We hope you enjoy listening to the songs below. You might even like to sing along.

Let It Rise

Let the glory of the Lord
Rise among us
Let the glory of the Lord
Rise among us
Let the praises of the King
Rise among us
Let it rise

Let the songs of the Lord
Rise among us
Let the songs of the Lord
Rise among us
Let the joy of the King
Rise among us let it rise

O let it rise
O let it rise

Hosanna

I see the King of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes

I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing

Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees
We're on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Message

Our Hope Helps Us and We Help Others · Micah 4

Prayer of Intercession

Our Father, thank you for Jesus, who endured the suffering and shame of the cross in order to save us, and secure the hope of the new earth and heavens, where peace and justice will reign.

Forgive all those times we’ve lived only for ourselves, and only for today; for causing conflict with those we should love, for sneering at those who suffer, and for making decisions out of fear.

Please bring Christians back together, back to their churches, all over the world, to worship you and perform good deeds, and in so doing to give people a foretaste of the world to come.

By your Holy Spirit, deeply, and lastingly, comfort those in our church family who are sick, who have chronic pain, who have lost their job, who are lonely, and who are grieving.

We praise you, our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ name

Amen

Worship

Come People of the Risen King

Come people of the Risen King
Who delight to bring Him praise
Come all and tune your hearts to sing
To the Morning Star of grace
From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to Him
Where steady arms of mercy reach
To gather children in

Rejoice rejoice let ev'ry tongue rejoice
One heart one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice

Come those whose joy is morning sun
And those weeping through the night
Come those who tell of battles won
And those struggling in the fight
For His perfect love will never change
And His mercies never cease
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace

Come young and old from ev'ry land
Men and women of the faith
Come those with full or empty hands
Find the riches of His grace
Over all the world His people sing
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through ev'ry age
Our God is all in all

Benediction

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. Amen.

See you back here next Sunday.

Offering

An important part of the Christian's worship of God is the giving of their finances. We understand that in the current climate many people's ability to give will be seriously compromised. Those people are very much in our prayers. If you are in a position to maintain your weekly giving then we encourage you to give by electronic funds transfer to:

BSB: 704-922
Account #: 100 002 831
Name: MOBC Offering
