A Christian Response to Singleness
November 24 2019, 6:00pm
Across all age groups more Australians live alone for lengthy parts of their lives than ever before. Family dynamics have changed dramatically, and singleness (voluntary and unwanted), divorce, and widowhood, raise many questions about identity, isolation, loneliness, aged care, and personal freedom. What is a Christian response to singleness?
Our speaker is Dani Treweek. Dani completed her BDiv at Moore College, before spending 7 years in full time women’s ministry. She is undertaking PhD research into a theological ethic of singleness. She attends Erskineville Anglican Church, is the chair of singlemindedconference.com, is obsessed with the musical Les Miserables and rejoices in being an aunt.
